Some really interesting work on at Shortwave Cafe from artist Matthew Radford.
Matthew says: 'I have made crowd paintings of New York and London for many years and over time they have become images of change, depicting the way nothing is still or permanent in life, and of the constant spectacle of people appearing and disappearing through time. They function as a footprint of that experience, with the paint marks suggesting the presence of the body no longer there.
I want to make paintings that show things so close to us that we hardly notice them - So I CAN see the wood for the trees.
The free exhibition opens tonight and will be up for a month.
