Season two of the innovative classical concert series at the Shortwave Cafe, part of the Biscuit Factory, Bermondsey, just five minutes walk from Bermondsey tube station. Come to hear unique programmes with leading international guest artists who come to join me for these intimate candlelit evenings of music and conversation in this unique gallery space with a glass of something from the bar.
Olivia Jageurs is a phenomenal harpist living in Bermondsey who has performed in all of London's major concert halls, and just last year, Olivia's harp writing resource "15 second harp" was shortlisted for a Royal Philharmonic Award.
Tonight Olivia plays the notoriously virtuoso Sequenza by Luciano Berio and Eliot Carter's Bariolage and I join Olivia in the sublimely beautiful Sonata in E major BWV 1016 and Handel Sonata in G major HWV 358. We will also be showcasing some brand new miniatures being written right now. NO talk of still wet ink - this lot could be arriving online through the web from anywhere on the globe until the moment of the concert.. an unmissable challenge indeed!
Admission: £10 on the door
